Photo of the Day: Camagüey City, Cuba

Camagüey is the third largest city in Cuba and the capital of Camagüey Province.

Interesting Fact: Established in 1515, Camagüey was a port town that was subject to numerous pirate attacks. The city was eventually moved inland in 1528 and redesigned with winding streets, blind alleys, and only one exit to help the locals defend against raiders. In 2008, Camagüey was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site
