Ship Overview

Enjoy the blue waters of the Caribbean from the comfort of the luxurious M/Y Voyager. The new build, 68m/223ft, state-of-the-art mega yacht accommodates just 72 passengers in 36 cabins. Built in 2012 under the latest International “Safety of Life At Sea” (SOLAS 2010) regulations and classified by RINA, the Variety Voyager guarantees guests safety with incomparable comfort and elegance. The Voyager seduces her passengers with sleek lines and ample deck space. Inside, cabins and public areas are finished with warm fabrics, rich marbles, axminster carpeting and soft toned wood paneling. Everywhere you look, you’ll see unobstructed views of the ocean and ports visited. Above all, the professional service of your 32-33-person crew always assists you with a smile and a true desire to satisfy. 

All cabins include: Individually controlled air conditioning, TV with DVD player, mini-fridge, safe deposit box, deluxe toiletries, and bathrobes WiFi at a charge.

All rooms sleep two passengers. Some category B cabins may sleep up to three passengers based upon request and availability.

Owner's Suite (OS)

Owner's Suite cabin category

The owner's suite is the largest cabin of the vessel, and is located on the upper horizons deck that offers doublewindows. The owner's suite offers flexible bedding configuration as well as an extra sofa bed. The cabin is finished with marble throughout the bathroom and luxurious fabrics and furnishing, along with special amenities. Cabin size is 259 sq feet.

The category P cabins are located on the upper horizons deck and offer double windows, all finished with marble throughout the bathrooms and more luxurious fabrics and special amenities. All cabins offer flexible bedding configuration, and four of the seven include an extra sofa bed. Average cabin size is 206 sq feet.

Day 1

Arrive in Havana or Cienfuegos from Miami, depending on the direction of your cruise, where you will be greeted and assisted by a member of our team. In Havana, our program begins with a sightseeing tour of this exciting city, including a stop at the Plaza de la Revolución. Enjoy lunch at La Barraca Restaurant, located on the ramparts of the famous Hotel Nacional, which specializes in Cuban cuisine and offers breathtaking views of the Bay of Havana. Remain at the hotel for an engrossing lecture with well-known architect Pedro Vasquez. After, make your way aboard the M/Y Voyager, where you’ll participate in a cruise orientation and briefing before dinner.

Day 2

After a relaxing breakfast on board, disembark for a walking tour through Old Havana's labyrinth of cobblestone streets and alleyways. After lunch at a paladar, a private, family-owned restaurant, we'll take a scenic drive in vintage American cars to Finca Vigía, the beloved home of Ernest Hemingway where he lived for more than 20 years and wrote For Whom the Bell Tolls and The Old Man and the Sea.

Enjoy some free time in Havana before we make our way to dinner. We'll end the day at Café Taberna and experience a live salsa performance.

Day 3

Disembark in the early morning for an excursion to Fusterlandia, the studio of artist Jose Rodriguez Fuster. Architecture and art enthusiasts will savor the brightly colored mermaids, roofs, walls, benches, and doorways which were greatly inspired by Gaudi in Barcelona and Brancusi in Rome, but most of all by Picasso and Dubuffet.

Enjoy a few hours on your own and experience the wonders of Havana before returning to the ship for embarkation. Lunch and dinner will be served on board as we sail to Maria La Gorda.

Day 4

After breakfast on board, disembark in Maria La Gorda and visit Guanahacabibes National Park, one of the country’s largest nature reserves on the westernmost tip of the island. Guanahacabibes Peninsula is one of the last refuges of aboriginals, known as Guanahatabeyes, who fled the Spanish conquistadors and is home to 140 archeological sites. 

You’ll have time for swimming and snorkeling in the turquoise waters of Maria La Gorda before boarding the M/Y Voyager. Dinner and overnight on board as we sail to Isla Juventud.

Day 5

After breakfast, take a panoramic drive to the capital city of Isla de la Juventud, Nueva Gerona. We will tour the Presidio Modelo, an abandoned panopticon prison of Cuba where some of Cuba’s most famous inmates were held including, Fidel and Raul Castro and the Moncada rebels. We’ll enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before visiting an art school and a maternity ward at a local hospital.

In the afternoon, take time to explore Nueva Gerona’s grand boulevard. Later this evening, dine on board the M/Y Voyager and set sail for Casilda.

Day 6

After breakfast on board, we’ll make our way into Trinidad, a well preserved Spanish colonial city and UNESCO World Heritage Site, for a walking tour with a representative from the Office of the City Historian before attending a local architect’s presentation.

After lunch, we’ll visit the Museo Romantico located in the Palacio Cantero Museum for breathtaking views of Trinidad. Visit the studio of Lazaro, a unique woodcarver, and enjoy more sightseeing along Trinidad's cobblestone streets. We'll depart for Cienfuegos, where we will meet the M/Y Voyager for an overnight in port.

Day 7

After breakfast, we'll disembark in Cienfuegos. Known as the Pearl of the South and founded by French settlers, Cienfuegos boasts outstanding examples of French neo-classical architecture and is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We’ll take a walking tour of the city center and Parque Martí before attending a graphic arts workshop and local musical performance. Before having lunch, we’ll stop at a local farmer’s market. Next, enjoy a performance by the Chorus of Cienfuegos, one of the most well-known choruses in Cuba, and a guest highlight. Back aboard the M/Y Voyager, we’ll enjoy dinner and spend overnight in port.

Day 8

After a final farewell breakfast on board the M/Y Voyager we will disembark and travel to the airport in Santa Clara for the return flight to the U.S.

This itinerary may be subject to change as a result of weather and other factors not in our control. Since space at the dock itself is severely limited, this itinerary might involve a combination of having to tender in to shore, as well as docking at one of only two piers. Sailing direction and activities in this itinerary should be considered a sample only. Final itineraries are sent to guests one to two weeks prior to departure. Due to the unique nature of our programming, each departure is custom designed and not every activity listed on this itinerary is always available. Please rest assured that our team in both Cuba and the U.S. take special care in planning each excursion and draws from almost two decades of experience, relationships, and activities to make each itinerary exceptional. Each tour provides a full-time schedule of educational people-to-people exchange activities and is fully compliant with U.S. Department of Treasury, Office of Foreign Assets Control regulations regarding travel to Cuba. These same regulations provide that guest participation on each tour is mandatory.

To ensure that all guests arrive to Cuba in time for the ship's departure, the ship operator requires that passengers arrive on a group charter flight to ensure smooth airport transfers and ship boarding.
