Cuba’s spanish-colonial cities and cobblestoned streets, stir visions of brightly painted buildings, pounding mambo rhythms and barrios that bustle well into the night.

This exciting, eight-day tour of Cuba's most famous cities will add the brushstrokes you've been longing to add to the unfinished canvas of your vision of Cuba. Your experience begins in the boisterous harbor city of Havana and ends in the artistic enclave of Trinidad and Cienfugoes, know as "the pearl of the South."

Day 1

After clearing immigration and customs at the José Martí International Airport in Havana, you’ll take a short drive to the Meliá Cohiba for hotel check in and tour orientation.*

*Check-in begins roughly at 3pm ET. The tour start time will vary slightly depending on flight arrivals. 

Day 2

Start your day by meeting a Cuban-architecture expert, who will discuss Old Havana’s rich architectural heritage and UNESCO designation. After lunch, you’ll visit a rehabilitation-and-care center for senior citizens. Later, meet with university students and local professionals for candid discussions about daily life in Cuba, before visiting an artist in his studio. You’ll end the day with a delicious dinner at a traditional Cuban restaurant.

Day 3

Begin your day with a visit to a food co-op to gain insight into Cuba’s developing community initiatives. Then, meet with an internationally recognized dance troupe and enjoy backstage access to a dress rehearsal. After lunch, visit the Literacy Museum to learn about a moment in Cuban history when the island’s youth mobilized to teach rural inhabitants to read. Later, you’ll meet performers from La Colmenita, a children’s touring group that performs locally and internationally. (In 2012, they performed at the United Nations.)

Day 4

Today, you’ll meet a historian at the Colon Cemetery, the most important burial ground in the Caribbean. Before lunching at a local paladar in Old Havana, you’ll visit an organization that teaches trade skills for the new economy. After lunch, you’ll meet an art specialist for an insightful tour of Havana’s Museum of Fine Arts. Tonight, dine on your own at a paladar, a private, family-owned restaurant. Your tour leader, a dining-scene expert, can make outstanding recommendations.

Havana / Playa Larga / Cienfuegos
Day 5

Today, you’ll leave Havana for Playa Larga, where you’ll visit Korimacao Community Project, a respected school of the arts, known for developing the careers of musicians, dancers, poets, and actors. From Playa Larga, you'll continue your journey to the charming island town of Cienfuegos, where you’ll lunch with a local business owner. 

Later, you’ll visit a casa particular, a bed-and-breakfast-like accommodation in a private home.

Cienfuegos / Trinidad
Day 6

We’ll stop at the Museum of Architecture to learn about Trinidad’s architectural and historic preservation and UNESCO designation. Afterwards, learn about the Santeria religion at Casa Templo de Santería Yemayá.

After lunch, you’ll meet a world-renowned artist who recently had her work displayed at the United Nations. Tonight, dine on your own at a paladar. Ask your tour leader for recommendations.

Cienfuegos / Havana
Day 7

This morning, you’ll visit a cooperative artist center, then meet the singers and artistic director of the internationally acclaimed Coro del Cienfuegos (an all-time guest favorite). After lunch, you’ll travel back to Havana to visit Hemingway’s home at Finca Vigia, where the author wrote For Whom the Bell Tolls and The Old Man and the Sea. In the evening, share your favorite stories during a farewell dinner.

Day 8

After breakfast, bid farewell to Cuba as you board your flight home.

Classic Cuba Tour


Flights from October 1 - November 30, 2016:

$645 per person and includes Cuban visa, Cuban airport departure tax, required Cuban health insurance, and priority check-in at Miami international airport. 

All guests booking a tour departing Oct 1- Nov 30, 2016 are automatically booked on a scheduled charter flight from Miami to Cuba round trip. (Commercial flights are not yet available.) This flight departs in the morning from Miami and includes an overnight stay at the Hotel Pullman Miami Airport, private welcome reception, pre-tour briefing, breakfast and transfers.

Please note that the flight charge will be added to your tour fee, once you are registered on a tour.

Flights from December 1- 31, 2016:

$645* per person and includes Cuban visa, Cuban airport departure tax, and required Cuban health insurance. 

For guests booking a tour departing Dec 1- Dec 31, 2016 we have blocked seats on American Airlines from Miami to Cuba. This flight departs in the morning from Miami and requires an overnight stay in Miami not included in the tour price.

*Add $100 for departures Dec 20 - Dec 31, 2016.
