Cuba is a rhythm nation. You can feel it in Havana’s music venues, where performers punctuate heavy air with bata and maracas. You can hear it in historic residential neighborhoods, where the blare of trumpet courses through colonial courtyards. You can see it in the blissful expressions of street buskers, who serenade passersby with soft Spanish guitar.

The island country’s world-famous music scene is one of its biggest draws. That’s why we make sure to take you deep into the groove for a rare insider plunge into the thriving Cuban art and jazz scene.

Next, we'll visit the famous Abdala Recording Studio or another local favorite where you'll learn first-hand how decades of Cuban music found its iconic sound. After lunch at La Fontana, we'll stop at the Hotel Nacional with its grassy ramparts and artifacts from Castro’s final battle in Santa Clara. Standing just a few meters from the ocean, it offers impressive views of Havana – best enjoyed with a mojito in hand. Next, hop inside one of Cuba’s vintage cars from 1950s America and cruise along the Malecón and tour other neighborhoods in Havana, in style.

We’ll begin the evening with a late dinner at Café Laurent and then walk over to Cuba’s most famous jazz club, La Zorra y el Cuevo for the first show of the night.

Day 4

This morning, we’ll explore the oldest parts of Havana, as we walk back in time more than 500 years to the city’s founding where we’ll explore a labyrinth of cobblestone streets during a privately guided walking tour of Havana’s city-center, La Habana Vieja. Next, we’ll stop for lunch at Restaurante Cuba 54 before exploring the National Museum of Fine Arts of Havana – widely considered the Caribbean’s best collection of art. With Latin America’s largest collection of paintings and sculptures, the National Museum of Fine Arts is counted among Cuba’s greatest treasures. After, join a party in the neighborhood, Reparto de Bahia and take in a performance of the incredible Santa Amalia Dancers. The lively residents get even livelier when it’s time to celebrate. We’ll join the party alongside Pablo Delgado and some of the city’s best jazz dancers. The genuine, welcoming attitude of those in attendance will be enough to get you singing and dancing in no time.

After a wonderful farewell will occur at the Restaurant Tierra, and only few steps away, we’ll explore one of Havana’s most exciting spots, Fabrica de Arte – an old cooking oil factory turned into floors of bars, theaters, museums and more.
