Picture yourself in the African bush, your eyes peering through binoculars, the Big Five at your finger tips. This could be you on a luxury safari in the remote, uncrowded areas of the Serengeti Desert.

Guests will enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in open-top vehicles, a hot air balloon ride over the grasslands of the Maasai Mara, specially arranged cultural experiences and visits to two UNESCO World Heritage sites.

Accommodation is luxurious and includes stays at the Fairmont Norfolk Hotel, the Ol Tukai Lodge, Ngorongoro Serena Lodge and Serena Serengeti Lodge.

Day 1

We will meet you upon your arrival at the airport in Kenya, where we'll assist you through immigration and customs and then escort you to the landmark Fairmont Norfolk Hotel.

Day 2
Start your day with a visit to the Giraffe Center and David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. Both inspiring organizations are hailed for helping to save Rothschild giraffe, elephant and rhino. For lunch, dine at Tamambo Karen Blixen, set on the author’s former homestead, before flying into Maasai Mara, where big game roam in the same super-abundance that thrilled Teddy Roosevelt. You’ll be welcomed by Maasai dancers and cool eucalyptus-scented towels. 
At the Fairmont Mara Safari Club, unwind on your private verandah overlooking the hippo and crocodile-filled Mara River.

Day 3

Today, you will see the sun’s rays will just begin to flicker across the sky as you float silently above the golden game-filled expanse of the Maasai Mara, home to large herds of herbivores and their ferocious predators. After lunch, luxuriate in the ambience of the Fairmont Club before an exhilarating safari drive and another chance to spot all of the Big 5.

Day 4

Enjoy a morning game drive before your flight via Nairobi to Amboseli National Park. Set against the majestic silhouette of Kilimanjaro, Amboseli is heralded for its quintessentially African landscapes of open plains, rolling savanna and acacia woodlands. You will spend two nights at Ol Tukai Lodge.

Day 5

Amboseli is the best place in Africa to get close to herds of free-ranging elephants...and that is exactly what you’ll do today during our safari trips. This is the day you might also see impala, lions, cheetahs and zebras as well.

Day 6

Cross the border into Tanzania for lunch in Arusha, and journey across the magnificent Great Rift Valley to Lake Manyara National Park, one of the prettiest and most wildlife-rich parks in the country. Check in to the deluxe Lake Manyara Serena Lodge and enjoy a thrilling evening game drive. Be on the lookout for Manyara’s unusual tree-climbing lions that retreat into the branches of the umbrella tree.

Day 7
Set out this morning to spot the flocks of flamingos, herons and pelicans that gather on the lakeshore. You'll see Sykes’ monkeys, olive baboons and bushbuck in the area as well. Midday finds you gazing across the world’s largest intact caldera from your luxury tent at Lemala Ngorongoro. Later, thoughtful engagement with Maasai villagers reveals the challenges and rewards of life in East Africa. 
*Travelers in May will stay at the Ngorongoro Serena Lodge.

Day 8

Encircled by mountains, the open grasslands of Ngorongoro are easy for officials to patrol, resulting in healthy populations of endangered species like black rhinos and cheetahs. And with Lemala’s privileged access, you’ll bypass the long line of vehicles at the main entry for unmatched game-viewing on the crater floor before other visitors have even arrived. Return to camp for lunch and a relaxing afternoon.

Day 9

Fly into the Serengeti where you’ll be escorted to one of our Lemala Serengeti Camps. With strategic settings at the Mara River and Ndutu Plains, our luxury Lemala camps capture all the spectacle of Africa at its best anytime of year. This afternoon, you’ll experience firsthand why the Serengeti has earned its reputation as a safari paradise. Cocktails at sunset and an elegant candle-lit dinner are the perfect ending to the day.

Day 10

The enormous variety of exotic birds, horned bovines, ungulates, wild dogs and big cats that roam the vast expanse of the Serengeti is mindboggling... and you’ll have two days of morning and afternoon game drives to take it all in!

Day 11

Enjoy another amazing day of game driving through the Serengeti. The abunance of wild dogs, big cats and other exotic creatures that call this beautiful expanse of land home will leave you in awe.

Day 12

After another early morning game drive, we’ll drive you to the airstrip for your flight to Arusha. After lunch in town, transfer to the Kilimanjaro Airport for your onward flight.

Fairmont Norfolk Hotel Nairobi

The Fairmont Norfolk Hotel has played a leading role in Kenya's colorful history, and continues to be one of Nairobi's finest and best-known hotel. The town and later the modern city of Nairobi grew up around Fairmont The Norfolk hotel, which still has its own private tropical gardens. The 165 guest rooms include satellite television, in-room safe, and direct-dial phone. On-site amenities include heated pool, fitness center, sauna, steam room and beauty salon.

Fairmont Masai Mara Safari Club

The Fairmont Mara Safari Club has re-opened following an extensive renovation program. Surrounded on three sides by the Mara River, and on the edge of the world’s Seventh “New” Wonder of the World – the Masai Mara - Fairmont Mara Safari Club is the epitome of tented luxury. The main lodge at the center of camp hosts an indoor restaurant, bar and library with Internet access to keep the relatives up to date with safari adventures. A spacious outside deck overhangs the river and leads to a heated pool, complete with bar and private massage tents. With four poster, pillow-top beds and a veranda overlooking the hippo and crocodile-filled river, each of the 50 tents at Fairmont Mara Safari Club is superbly furnished with its own private, three-piece bathroom, including a number of “outdoor showers” in select tents.The larger-sized accommodations also feature expanded decks which allow for private dining.

Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge

Perched high on a hill, the lodge and its swimming pool command beautiful views of the surrounding Serengeti plains and hills. The stylish lodge and huts with 66 elegantly furnished en-suite bedrooms, are built from local materials in traditional African village style.

Lemala Ngorongoro Luxury Camp

This intimate luxury safari camp is perched on the rim of the crater offering just 8 private tents, each graciously appointed with thick duvets, a dressing area, and a private en suite bathroom. The heart of the camp is the Dining Tent, beautifully furnished with grand sofas, lamps, and rugs. Gourmet dining is offered here or al fresco with complementary wine, beer, and spirits served during meal time. The Camp’s privileged location is just 5 minutes away from the entry route that descends into the Crater. The encampment is facing a delightful acacia forest which attracts elephants, buffalo and other game.

Lemala Mara North Serengeti Luxury Camp

Between June and October, this intimate luxury camp sits on a rocky outcrop overlooking the great expanse of the northern Serengeti toward the Mara River which flows just a short distance away. This privileged location affords guests the opportunity to witness the migration river crossings without large crowds of other visitors. Regardless of seasonal location, each luxury tent sits on a wooden platform, stylishly decorated with a dressing area and private en suite bathroom. Guests dine in a cozily furnished Mess Tent, with complementary beer, wine, and spirits available during meals.
