Nairobi / Lake Nakuru National Park
Day 2

Depart Nairobi and travel west through Kenya’s fertile highlands, past rolling tea and coffee estates. Trees part to reveal spectacular views of the Great Rift Valley, including the dormant Mount Longonot volcano. Your panoramic journey will take you past Lake Naivasha, the highest Rift Valley lake, 1884m above sea level, and onto Lake Nakuru, often a shimmering flamingo pink thanks to thousands of beautiful birds lining its shores. A closer look may reveal the pink ears of a hippo rising briefly above the surface. After lunch, enjoy a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, home to rare tree-climbing lions. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Njoro / Maasai Mara National Reserve
Day 3

Leave the flamingo-fringed Lake Nakuru after an early morning breakfast, and head for Njoro town to begin your ascent to the top of the Mau Escarpment about 10,000 feet above sea level. Then, travel toward Narok, gateway to the Maasai Mara National Reserve, one of the most spectacular and abundant wildlife destinations in the world and district headquarters of this part of Maasailand. You'll travel across Kenya’s "breadbasket," covered with acres of wheat and barley, before reaching the Mara. After lunch, you’ll partake in a game drive in Maasai Mara before returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Maasai Mara
Day 4

Spend your morning and afternoon at game drives in Maasai Mara, home to many species of mammals and more than 400 species of birds. Visitors almost always glimpse the lions, rhinos, buffalos, elephants and leopards for which the African plains are famous. Take part in an optional balloon safari.*

Maasai Mara / Narok
Day 5

After an early breakfast, you’ll depart the Maasai Mara and continue across acres of wheat and barley farms to Narok. Keep an eye out for herds of giraffe and gazelle as you cross the vast plains on the floor of the Rift Valley. Head up the rift escarpment on a road built by Italian prisoners during World War II. You’ll arrive in Kenya’s bustling capital around midday. After lunch, visit the Karen Blixen Museum and Giraffe Centre. Evening transfer to your hotel.

Day 6

After breakfast, transfer to Nairobi Airport for your flight to the Seychelles. Arrive at Mahe Inter Island Quay - St Anne Island. Embark the M/Y Pegasus. After the welcome cocktail and safety drill, we leave Port Victoria and sail to nearby St Anne for a refreshing swim stop off the ship in the stunning aquamarine waters. Anchor near St Anne for welcome dinner and overnight.

St Anne/Curieuse
Day 7

We leave St Anne Island early in the morning for Curieuse, nicknamed “The Red Island” because of its soil’s hue. This uninhabited former leper colony houses more than 500 giant tortoises, eight species of mangrove tree, and the protected Coco de Mer plant. We may even spot a black parrot. Our walking excursion with a park guide will bring us to the farm alongside impressive mangrove forests and massive granite cliffs. We return to the beach for a barbecue under the trees. In the afternoon, you can enjoy the beach and sea activities. Anchor for overnight.

Meals | Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Cousin Island / Anse Lazio
Day 8

In the morning, we sail for the powder-white shores of Cousin Island, where conservation efforts have allowed much of this former coconut plantation’s native forest to regenerate. Now a bird sanctuary thanks to Bird Life International’s work to preserve the Seychelles warblers, the island is home to several species. It boasts nesting beaches for turtles, particularly the Hawksbill. Later in the afternoon, we sail to Anse Lazio on Praslin Island, one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Stroll among red boulders through the powder-fine white sand or partake in water sports, snorkeling or diving. Evening at anchor.

Meals | Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Aride Island / St Pierre Island / St Anne
Day 9

In the morning, we leave for Aride Island, one of the world’s most important nature reserves. The island houses indigenous species found nowhere else on earth, such as Wright's gardenia and Audubon's shearwater, the Seychelles warbler, and a significant population of seabird species. Our excursion will take you all the way to the top of the island for a breath-taking view. At noon, we sail for St Pierre Island.

After lunch, we reach St Pierre for a three-hour snorkeling and swimming stop. See a coral reef, significantly damaged by a tsunami, slowly regaining its former magnificence. View an abundant variety of fish, such as the blue tang and the clown surgeonfish, and, if we’re lucky, sea turtles. At sunset, we leave St. Pierre to sail into Baie St Anne, Praslin. Overnight at dock. Creole Night.
