At insightCuba we have been seeking the best accommodations for our group tours since our inception in 2000. We pride ourselves on finding the best Cuba hotels and accommodations for our travelers that are centrally located and provide the best rooms and hospitality available.

Here are some examples of the hotels we stay in on our group tours:

Havana

In Havana, you’ll find your oasis, and excellent service, at the Meliá Cohiba, a five-star member of the Meliá chain of hotels (Meliá Hotels International), located on the famous Malecón, Havana’s winding seaside esplanade. Meliá Hotels International is the leading hotel chain in the Caribbean, Spain, and Latin America.

Santiago de Cuba

In Santiago de Cuba, featured on our Undiscovered Cuba tour, you’ll rest well at the fabulous Meliá Santiago (also part of Meliá Hotels International). This is one of Cuba’s most modern hotels and offers excellent amenities such as a pool, gym, crafts shop, room service, and art gallery.

Cayo Santa Maria

On our Vintage Cuba tour, you'll stay at the lovely seaside Meliá Las Dunas on Cayo Santa Maria, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.

The Provinces

While the hotels and casa particulares we’ve selected provide great service and are often charming, standards in Cuba differ from those elsewhere around the world – so it’s important to keep in mind that traveling to Cuba isn't about your hotel stay; it's about the opportunity to visit Cuba, and the unforgettable experiences you will have.

For the past 15 years, our goal has always been to locate the best available accommodations for our guests. We are now authorized to use Cuban bed and breakfasts, better known as casas particulares. After many years of hope for this change, we’re thrilled to be able to provide this opportunity on some of our tours and provide our guests with the best that Cuba has to offer.

What is a casa particular?

A casa particular is a privately owned bed and breakfast run by a Cuban family. The casas particulares we provide have been carefully chosen for you based on their central location, comfort, the gracious hosts, and typically the beautiful Colonial architecture Cuba is known for. Staying in a casa offers the opportunity to learn more about the country and the city you are staying in, as well as experience something few other American’s are able to.
